The Beauty Department: Cocoa Brown Chocolate Whip Review

Cocoa Brown Chocolate Whip Review!!

Hi Beauties!

Happy Thursday! I hope you're having a good week, its nearly the weekend so you know what that means time to start prepping for your Cocoa Brown Tan. A few weeks ago I bought Cocoa Brown Chocolate Whip moisturizer and I really like it. Chocolate Whip body moisturizer is an oil free moisturizer rich with vitamin E. The moisturizer is brown like chocolate mouse and smells good enough to eat. When applied to the skin it has a balm like texture and soaks in right away. I love this because when you're rushing in the morning or after a shower you don't need to wait a long time before getting dressed. You can use this moisturizer in three ways: you can use it as a daily moisturizer to keep your skin hydrated. You can use it on your elbows and knees or any other dry areas of skin before applying your tan so that the tan doesn't stick. You can also use it to help prolong your Cocoa Brown tan and to help ensure that your tan fades evenly. Overall I love this product and if your looking for a good body moisturizer I do recommend you give it a try you wont be disappointed. Cocoa Brown Chocolate Whip Body Moisturizer is solid in Penney's, Tesco and Pharmacy's nationwide. You can also buy it online on Cloud10Beauty you can buy it here -  http://www.cloud10beauty.com/cocoa-brown-chocolate-whip-200ml.html#.VOJ47fmsWXw for only 5.95Eur

I really hope you enjoyed this post and if you try this product let me know what you think, I would love to know what other Cocoa Brown products you have tried and what you think of them! :)

The Beauty Department: Cocoa Brown Tough Stuff Body Scrub Review

Cocoa Brown Tough Stuff Body Scrub Review!!

Hi Beauties!

I am finally here with my very first Cocoa Brown review! I promised this a couple of weeks ago but due to been busy with work and other commitments I have found it very hard to sit down and blog. I have a bag full of products in my room ready to review its just getting down to doing them. Hopefully this week I will get back on track. :)

So for a couple of months now I have been using Cocoa Brown Tough Stuff by Marissa Carter. I can honestly say I love it and I think it is the best body scrub on the market and been a beautician/beauty blogger who gets to try a lot of different body scrubs that's big. I have very sensitive skin and react to most body scrubs so when this first came out I was worried to try it. I then saw an interview on TV3 Xpose http://www.tv3.ie/entertainment.php with Marissa, she talked about her amazing range and explained that her products were suitable for sensitive skin, as she herself has sensitive skin and this was one of the resons she created her brand. I bought the body scrub and did a patch test the night before use and thankfully I didn't have a reaction.

It is now a bathroom stable in my house. I loved it so much I bought it for my two sisters and my Mum and they all love it. But really what's not to love. It prepares skin for your fresh tan, removes stubborn old tan and leaves your skin feeling silky smooth and soft. I use this with exfoliating mitts on stubborn areas such a my knees and elbows. I use this 3/4 times and my tan looks flawless when applied. It also smells amazing.

Overall I love this product, and I was so excited when I came home from #itwbnBloggersEvent in the Radisson Blu Hotel & Spa Galway and found a tube of Cocoa Brown Tough Stuff Body Scrub in my goodie bag. Thank you so much to Sinead and Saibh for organizing the goodie bags and Marissa Carter the owner of Cocoa Brown who so generouly gave us all a full size tube of Tough Stuff!

Tough Stuff can be bought in Penney's, Tesco, Boots and most pharmacy's nationwide. It can also be bought online on Cloud10Beauty which you can buy here - http://www.cloud10beauty.com/cocoa-brown-tough-stuff-200ml.html#.VOJtxPmsWXw for only 7.99 Eur

I really hope you enjoyed this little review.

The Fashion Department: #itwbnBloggersEvent What I wore!

#itwbnBloggersEvent What I Wore!

Hi Beauties!

Happy Tuesday! I hope you all had a good weekend! Last Sunday, I attended my very first blogger event - Into The West Blogger Network Bloggers Event! You can read all about it here - http://bellaandvogue.blogspot.ie/2015/02/into-west-blogger-network-itwbn-blogger.html

I had the best time ever and wish it was on again this weekend. I can't wait until May when the event will be on again. I loved how glam and girly the event was and how everyone went to so much effort to dress up. I will definitely be more dressed up next time. Throughout the event I got a number of compliments and a few private messages about my outfit so I have decided to do a full blog post on what I wore...

I used the InStyler to style my hair, the InStyler is easy to use. It can be used to straighten, curl, add volume and shine to your hair . I used the 32mm barrell which gives more of a wave than a curl. It is on sale at the moment costing 85Eur. I think it is a really good investment as you will have it for years and it is so quick and easy to use. You can purchase it here - http://www.instyler.ie/product/32mm-instyler-ionic-ceramic/

I used my DiorSkin Star Foundation which you can read my full review here - http://bellaandvogue.blogspot.ie/2015/02/the-beauty-department-dior-skin-star.html

I used my Urban Decay Naked palette. I used half baked all over my eyelid, virgin on my inner eye and tear duct, and naked in my crease. You can buy this palette here - http://www.debenhams.ie/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/prod_10052_10001_123932979199_-1

For bronzer, blush and highlight I used my Sleek Face Form palette from Boots in shade fair which you can buy here - http://www.boots.ie/en/Sleek-MakeUp-Face-Form_1395760/

For lipstick and lipgloss I used NYX Matte Lipstick in shade Strawberry Milk and I used a butter gloss over the top in shade Creme Burlee. I love these butter glosses, they are my ultimate fave!

So that's my makeup and hair now lets get down to tan. My tan was the Cocoa Brown spray tan. I got my spray tan done on the Friday before the event. I got it done in The Beauty Boutique by Anne-Marie the owner! I loved it so much, she did two sprays and it was a gorgeous bronze colour. I washed it off after four hours. A week on and I still have my tan. It has faded slighted but I have been using the Cocoa Brown Chocolate Whip which I believe is the secret to prolonging a flawless tan.

*Bella and Vogue Tip!
During the week after you get your Cocoa Brown spray tan apply Cocoa Brown Lovely Legs to prolong your tan for an extra day!

Now onto my outfit -

My blazer is from River Island, I bought it a couple of weeks ago and you can read a post about it here - http://bellaandvogue.blogspot.ie/2015/01/the-fashion-department-my-river-island.html

You can also buy it in cream which I also love, I would nearly buy this too. Blazers are the perfect staple piece for your wardrobe and they never date. You can buy the cream one here - http://eu.riverisland.com/women/coats--jackets/blazers/Cream-satin-ruched-sleeve-blazer-663628

My top is also from River Island it has actually sold out but you can buy one like it here which is just as fab - http://eu.riverisland.com/women/tops/cami--sleeveless-tops/Black-stripe-print-top-666886

My pants are also from River Island (surprise surprise, I need to branch out a little!) Ha! You can buy them here - http://eu.riverisland.com/women/trousers--leggings/skinny-trousers/Black-skinny-trousers-658734

My boots I have blogged about before you can read about them here - http://bellaandvogue.blogspot.ie/2015/01/the-fashion-department-what-i-wore.html

So there you have it guys, I hope you enjoyed this post.

Into The West Blogger Network #itwbn Blogger Event!!

Into The West Blogger Network #itwbn
Blogger Event!!

Hi Guys!

I hope you had a good weekend. As some of you know I was attending my very first blogger event - Into The West Blogger Network #itwbn. I would first like to begin this post by thanking Sinead Carroll from 'Yummy Mummy' http://www.yummymummy.eu.com/ and Saibh Egan from 'Wild Cosmia'  http://www.saibhegan.blogspot.ie/. Into The West Blogger Network was created my Sinead with the help from Saibh, the network was created for bloggers in Ireland to support, motivate and encourage each other. Last year the girls decided to organize 'blogger meet ups' every couple months throughout the year.

I attended my first event on Sunday, I was so nervous but excited as I didn't know what to expect. I first heard of Into The West Blogger Event last year before I started blogging but I always wished I could go to such a cool event. I was so delighted when Sandra from 'A Blushing Cailin' http://www.ablushingcailin.com/ contacted me about the event to see if I would like to go.

The event was help in the Radisson Blu Hotel & Spa Galway in The Veranda Lounge http://www.radissonhotelgalway.com/, as soon as we arrived at the hotel the butterflies went away. Everyone was so welcoming and we were greeted with pink macaroons, girly cocktails, tea and coffee. The event began with Saibh welcoming us and thanking us for coming. There was five quest speakers who were all amazing and so informative! So thank you so much guys for all of your tips and tricks. You are all brilliant public speakers and are more talented then you even know. So thank you again for taking time out to share your secrets with us! The Speakers on the day were:

Marika Burke - OMIG  http://www.galwaymarketing.ie/
Siobhan McDonnell - LetzMakeup http://www.letzmakeupblog.com/
Richie Spence - Beautifi.com http://beautifi.com/
The Galway Player http://thegalwayplayer.com/
Kate Kelly - Cocoa Brown http://www.cocoabrown.ie/ Pure Irish Sugar https://pureirishsugar.wordpress.com/

During the day we got a chance to chat and mingle with all the bloggers. It was so much fun, everyone was so welcoming and kind. During this time we were also given the chance to shop at the pop up shops. It was the perfect girly experience, with glitter, shape wear, jewelry, clothes, makeup, tan and fancy dress costumes. We took 100s of photos and had are own photo booth. We were also given huge goodie bags filled with amazing products, so expect a lot of reviews over the next few weeks!

I loved every second of the day and I can't wait for May, when the next event will be on and I believe that the planning has already started! Eeek!

I just want to say a very big Thank You again to Sinead and Saibh not only for creating the network but also for setting up the meet ups, your hard work really paid off! So thank you again! I had the best day ever! It was so nice to meet you Saibh! And I look forward to meeting Sinead in May and from what I've heard I wont be disappointed! :)

I really hope you enjoyed reading!

The Beauty Department: Dior Skin Star foundation review!!

DIOR Skin Star foundation review!!

Hi Beauties!

I hope you are all having a good week, it's nearly the weekend and I am so excited. I have a very busy weekend ahead. On Friday evening I am getting my spray tan done, I have decided to go with the amazing Cocoa Brown spray because I absolutely love it. The colour is fab, its a toffee like bronze colour which I love. I am getting my tan done by Anne-Marie who is the owner of The Beauty Boutique and Mink Lashes Castlebar. There is more to come about Anne-Marie and her 5* businesses so watch this space! ;) On Friday night I am meeting up with some friends who I haven't seen since Christmas, we are going to have a cosy night in and plan our trip to London - I can't wait! On Saturday I am working all day and am fully booked up! :) And then on Sunday I will be attending my very first blogging event - Into The West Blogger Network #itwbn at the one and only Radisson Blu Hotel & Spa Galway. I am really looking forward to this event as I have never been to a blogger event before and I can't wait to meet other bloggers!

Anyway moving on to my DIORSKIN STAR foundation review. I treated myself to this foundation just after Christmas, I first saw it advertised in Vogue when it first came out and I thought it looked gorgeous and thought I must try it, I then saw in Elle that it was listed as one of the best foundations on the market today so I decided I had to get it, so off I went to Brown Thomas in Galway to purchase it. The girls at the Dior stand were very busy helping other customers but they were very helpful and did not rush anyone. I spoke to one of the girls about the different shades the foundation came in and found out all the information I could so that I would know if the foundation would suit me or not. I decided to go with light beige number 020 as this was the closes shade to my own skin tone which wasn't to light as I prefer warmer shades.

The foundation is know as the #selfie foundation and I can completely see why...

First of all the packaging is so gorgeous, its not the type of foundation that you can put in a make up bag and carry it around in your purse. Its the type of packaging you would proudly display on your dressing table. Its very luxurious looking. The bottle has a pump action which means that it is very hygienic as no bacteria can get in. You will need to shake the bottle well before use and I use three pumps to cover my entire face. The foundation itself has the beautiful Dior fragrance which I love.

The foundation is very easy to blend, and is weightless. It doesn't feel heavy on your skin. This foundation was made using illuminating techniques. I love this because I have dry skin and am not fond of very matte foundations. I love a good dewy glow which this foundation gives you as it has brightening properties. This foundation has SPF 30+ and it is long wearing. Diorskin Star foundation looks absolutely beautiful in pictures as the colour does not fade and it looks super natural and glowy with flawless coverage.

Overall I love this foundation, it gives a very good coverage, I don't feel the need to use concealer with it as it hides any dark circles or blemishes. Its light weight and dewy. It gives you flawless coverage and you don't feel like your caked in make up, saying that I don't think that this foundation will suit people with oily skin as they might find that they look too shiny. But if you're like me who loves a natural looking dewy skin you will love this foundation. It is on the pricier side of 48Eur but it lasts ages and is definitely worth the investment. You can purchase the foundation from Brown Thomas here

Thanks for reading Beauties I hope you enjoyed, and if any of you have tried this foundation before or are inspired to try it now, please let me know on, twitter, instagram, facebook or by leaving a comment below!

Thank you again!
