Raw Cacao Shake Recipe

Hi Everyone! 

Earlier on today I posted the above picture on social media and I got inundated with girls and guys asking for the recipe of my Raw Cacao Shakes. I know that there is nothing worse then when your craving something sweet or chocolate but you are trying to be healthy. So what's a girl to do? Look for an alternative. The Raw Cacao shakes are completely refined sugar, gluten and dairy fee. They are filled with nutrients and are only made with natural ingredients! 

Recipe 

(2 Servings) 

2 Bananas 

Coconut Milk 

1 Table spoon of Raw Cacao powder 

I used the Nutribullet  for this recipe but you can use any juicer you have at home.

How to be more Productive

How to be more Productive

Hi Beauties! 

How are you all keeping? I don't know about you but I feel like the time is just flying by and I'm really not getting as much things as I want to done. So here I am on a Saturday evening (it will be Monday when your reading this) after finishing work, looking back over my week and how one day is just rolling into the next and I'm getting no where fast. After reflecting on my week I realized that my biggest problem is my lack of organizing. I haven't been feeling myself lately and have been on the go so much since my trip to London. It has only been the last two weeks that I have settled back into my daily workouts which has made me feel 100 times better but this really does show me that I really do need organization and routine in my life. So I spent my evening reading lifestyle and business blogs and how successful people organize their time. This really inspired me and has given me great ideas on how I too can be more productive. So I thought I would share with you some of the tips and tricks I learnt! 

1. Write a REALISTIC to-do list

Writing a to-do list and goal setting is one of the most popular tasks that successful people do. Every Sunday evening sit down with your notebook and diary and plan your week ahead. Start of with what do You want to do? What do you want to achieve? Your time is precious and there's no point wasting it on unnecessary tasks. Write your goals for the week down first then break these up into how you are going to achieve them and what do you need to do in order to achieve them. After each task is completed tick it off. I find this so therapeutic. Its a real since of accomplishment and also creates a crazy amount of motivation to keep going.

2. Learn to say No

This may sound selfish but you sometimes have to put yourself first. In order to run a successful business or even to be just happy in life you have to be very choosy about how you spend your time and what you say yes to. Just ask yourself is this going to be beneficial to me. 

3. Routine is key  

By establishing a routine you really do use your time a lot wiser and this means you get more done. You can set up your routine like you set up your to-do list. Wake up 20 minutes earlier to meditate or do yoga, make a weekly meal plan and stick to it, make your lunch the night before for work to avoid having to run out somewhere and make unhealthy choices, schedule your workout or run everyday (it could be anything from 20 minutes to an hour, its the perfect de-stresser after work), plan your outfits, schedule your meetings, work on blog posts. If you know exactly what needs to be done and you have a plan you will bemore likely to be successful. 

I'll be in my room, planning my little life away, if you need me! 

4. Surround yourself with positive people

When surrounded with positive like minded people only good things will come. You want to be with people who lift you up not bring you down, with people who encourage you and for you to encourage them. It is a far better use of your time and energy to be thinking of the brighter side of life then complaining about the bad. Collaborating with inspiring and positive people means that to are a lot more likely to get things done and be more productive and also lead a more successful life. 

Blog your dreams and surround yourself with good people!

5. Just do it!

If you have hopes and dreams believe in them just wake up and go get them. Don't let anything stop you. If you want it bad enough and you work hard enough you will make it happen. Don't waste your time telling the wrong people about it. Politely remove yourself from the situation and show yourself that it can be done and never stop working for it you never know who you are inspiring. Stay positive and believe in yourself!

Ok, I'm going to be honest here. When these capes first started trending I really wasn't convince but now that I see more celebs wearing them such as Olivia Palermo they are really starting to grow on me. I think they are perfect for days when the sun is shining but there is still a chill in the air. So you can really layer this look up and your arms are free.

I am totally obsessing over these over sized waterfall jackets at the moment. I have one and I get so much wear out of it. They are perfect for wearing casually over a pair of jeans or you can really dress them up wearing them with heels and accessories.

I  am definitely going to order this sleeveless waterfall jacket. Ever since they've been in style I've wanted to buy one. I love this colour and I haven't seen it anywhere else. Hi Everyone! 

Happy Sunday! I hope you all had a great weekend. I am so sorry about the lack of posts this week. As most of you know I was at #ITWBNBloggerEvent on Sunday. I had a brilliant day and left feeling so so inspired and motivated about blogging. My only problem is now I have so many ideas I need to take the time to plan and organize my time. So over the last week or so I have been reading #GIRLBOSS by Sophia Amoruso. This is my second time reading it and I really enjoyed it. I think it is the perfect book for anyone in business or trying to create the life of their dreams. So I decided to do a quick review just so you can get a little insight into the book.

Sophia Amoruso is the founder and CEO of Nasty Gal. Nasty Gal is an online store retailing vintage clothes. Throughout #GIRLBOSS Sophia tells her story about how she rose to the top and how she grew her business from strength to strength. She shares her secrets to success as well as inspiring others and teaching her fans and readers how to be a #GIRLBOSS. Sophia says it as it is and is very honest when talking about her past. She is an open book and is very comfortable with who she is. She is witty, hard working and inspiring to women every where. She encourages her readers to believe in their dreams, work hard and to do what ever it takes to get where you want in life. 

I loved this book and would definitely recommend it for any girl trying to figure out what they want in life. Sophia may not have all the answers but you will be amazed at where you find some inspiration.

Into The West Blogger Network Blogger Event at The G Hotel Galway

#ITWBNBloggerEvent 1st Birthday!

Hi Everyone! 

Over the weekend I attended yet another very fabulous #itwbnBloggerEvent. This time it was extra special as Sinead and Saibh the creators of the network celebrated their first very successful year of #ITWBN and I couldn't imagine a more glamorous place to celebrate then The G Hotel in Galway.

The G Hotel is breathtaking. I felt like a celebrity just being there. We were treated like royalty from the moment we arrived. All staff were so friendly and so helpful. They didn't even laugh when we were trotting through the under ground car park in our heels or mind when we asked them to take a few 'selfies' or get annoyed when we chased them asking for gluten free nibbles. On every table they had a jug of cool still water with mint leafs in. It was so nice and refreshing, the health freak came out in me and I was drinking it all day. The staff made us feel so welcome serving us cocktails on arrival and even made effort to speak to us outside the event and were interested in finding out about our blogs. I couldn't have imagined a more positive experience. I will definitely be back soon. I really didn't want to  leave. The hotel certainly lives up to the 5*s it has been awarded.

The event was amazing and the day went so quickly. I learnt so much from the most inspirational speakers. Sinead Burke from Minnie Melange was first up, she is just so cool and such a smart lady. She spoke about blogging in a way I had never thought about before, I could listen to her stories all day. She has interviewed many successful people and we would even like to interview the same people Victoria Beckham been one. Sinead really is a book of knowledge, I would love to meet her again and I think we would talk for days! 

Dee from Castle Print was next up, she spoke about the importance of marketing and advertising for your business or brand. I learnt so much from her and my mind was spinning thinking of ideas about web design and business cards for my site. I know one thing for sure I most definitely will be going to Castle Print for my business cards! 

Karen from Karora also spoke. She filled us in on how she built her brand, marketing, advertising and the importance of how your site or brand looks and how it is judged. Wayne Denner is a Youth & Digital Communicator. Wayne helps young people make better choices online. Wayne informed us about the importance on making sure that we know that what we post online is not only going to have a positive or negative effect on ourselves but on other people too and to make sure that we are putting out an image that we want our reputation to be. There are so many young people online and using social media today and are very easily influenced by bloggers, celebrities and people in business. Especially the people they look up to and admire. That is why I think it is so important to be aware that what you are posting will have a positive effect on people. This can be anything from what you wear to how to act on a night out. No matter what you post online stays online good or bad and will effect you when looking for a potential job or business opportunity. 

In between the speakers we were given a chance to have a walk around and mingle with other bloggers and brands. I loved this part. I love meeting new people and learning from them. I met so many new bloggers and caught up  with some of the girls and guys I already knew from previous events. Its so motivating to be surrounded with like minded people, who enjoy what you do. Ever since the event my mind is buzzing with new ideas and inspiration for bettering my blog and setting new challenges for myself. Its amazing where you find inspiration. I really had to come home and sit down to take in everything that I had learnt.

The Goodie Bags are amazing, take a peek! I was overwhelmed with all of the amazing products we received, the brands were all so generous! 

I cannot thank Sinead and Saibh enough for all that they do. They are amazing and they put so much into every detail of the event, I hope they know how appreciated they are and that their work does not go unnoticed. So Thank you again!

My Most Desired Pieces For S/S15 From New Look

My New Look wishlist...

Hi Everyone! 

At the moment I am really loving New Look's S/S15 collection, its very boho chic with its laid back casual style featuring cute shorts, maxi skirts and lots of crochet. I love how you get such a festival summer vibe right when you walk in the door. Very Coachella inspired. But don't worry if boho is not your thing there is a lot more to choose from such as pretty pastels and gorgeous floral prints which are gorgeous. Perfect for Summer!

The very first iteam on my list is this beautiful white skater dress. I don't know what is is about me and white dresses but they always catch my attention in shops. This one is gorgeous, its very girly and hides a multitude of sins. It has short cap sleeves so it covers the tops of your arms, it then has a little fitted belt already on the dress so it makes your waist look tiny. It is a skater dress so it hides your hips and finishes just above the knee. I think this is the perfect LWD for summer.

I love this kimono.I know the pattern is quite large and it wont be everyone's taste but I think it would be so gorgeous worn over a pair of white skinny jeans and either a small fitted white top or a baby pink top to pick up the colour in the print. The lace on the sleeves makes it look so much more luxurious. I adore full length kimonos, they are so expensive looking.

Sleeveless blazers and coats are so in right now and there are so many to choose from. White seems to be the most popular colour in the sleeveless blazers and I've wanted one for ages but I think this Rose pink one has just changed my mind. Its so different with the cut out edge. I have always loved tailored A-Line mini skirts that finish a few inches above your knee. I think they are perfect for summer. I think they are very chic, especially the first one pictured below. The next two are very fun and girly.

These shorts are so gorgeous! I love them. I think they are the nicest shorts I've seen this year. I don't usually go for shorts but I'm definitely getting these. The are very elegant and chic. The can be dressed down during the day and dressed up for night. There is also a blazer to go with them and I think this makes the perfect outfit.

I am loving yellow this summer, and i think that this blazer is stunning. I definitely need it in my wardrobe it would be perfect over jeans or a white dress! ;)

Skirt dresses are really big right now. When I first saw them I wasn't to sure but now I love them. I really like this navy one as its not to long so if you wanted to you could wear it over leggings or jeans with high heels.

Wrap skirts are also huge this season, I think they are a staple piece that every woman needs. They are very versatile and hide your tummy which is perfect if your a little self conscious. I really like this powder blue one but there are more colours to choose from.
