The Beauty Department: Liz Earle Eyebright & Superskin Concentrate Review

Liz Earle Eyebright & Superskin Concentrate Review

Hi Beauties,

I'm back again with another review from the Liz Earle skincare range. The more I try products from this brand the more I fall in love with it. About a month ago I ordered my 'Skin Care Essentials kit', which you usually get the eau so wonderful Cleanse & Polish cleanser, the skin tonic and the daily moisturizer plus a full size free gift and two muslin clothes which are amazing on you skin. All of this comes to about 56 Eur so it is great value. Lately though they have been sneaking in two free gifts which they don't tell you about, or maybe i'm just special and they send me two free gifts! Haha! ;)

The first free gift I got in this kit was the 'Liz Earle Eyebright Soothing Eye Lotion' . I tried this lotion when I was in school studying for my exams. I used to use it on my eyes when I was tired so mainly in the mornings but you can use it as often as you want to to refresh you eyes during the day, you can use it as make up remover and you can also apply a few drops to two cotton pads and lie down and relax for 5/10 minutes. This will leave you feeling soothed and revitalized. It contains natual active ingredients including, which hazel, aloe vera, and cornflower. This lotion is also lovely to use in the summer when its really hot out, you can leave it in the fridge or if you suffer from hay fever it is also very cooling on the eyes.

Liz Earle Superskin Concentrate was the second gift I received. The Superskin range is usually for more mature skin but its never to late to start. This is a facial oil which plumps, smooths and rebalances the look and feel of your skin. I was utterly amazed at the difference it made to my skin. I applied it at night before going to bed and when i woke up the next morning my skin was so clear and fresh looking and was also so soft to touch. I love it and would definitely recommend trying it. This product smells amazing too. The main ingredients in it are organic rosehip oil, argan oil, neroli oil and natural source of vitamin E. The only thing that put me off this product was when I first began to use it, it was hard to get the oil out as it is a roller ball action but the more often I used it it softened up and now I use it almost every night.

Over all I'm loving these products and can't wait to try more from the Liz Earle Skincare range.

I hope you enjoyed this post and if you try out any of these products let me know what you think. Here is a link to my first review on the Liz Earle Skincare range if you are in the mood for reading lots of reviews

and here is a link to my top skincare tips if you want to have a look and them too :)

Liz Earle Skincare can be bought in John Lewis in the UK, Boots in The Liffey Valley and online for us Irish. Post and packaging is also free and the products are delievered in less than a week, you can buy them here:

So until next time

The Fashion Department: My River Island Haul

My River Island Haul!

Hi Beauties!

So, around 7:30pm this evening I came across this River Island ad -

I got so excited because I was in River Island on Sunday and saw a few things that I liked but I was in a rush and did't have a time to have a proper look so I think this was a sign that I just needed these few bits.

The very first thing I knew I had to buy was this black blazer because I fell in love with it in the store. A black blazer is a staple piece in your wardrobe and I know I will get so much wear out of it. I love it.

I then bought these statement t-shirt because I think it will look cool with jeans or a skirt and it will go perfectly with my new black blazer.

I then bought this skirt because I thought it was cool and I don't have a black leather skirt.

I don't know about you but I love online shopping its so stress free and shipping only costs about 5 Eur

Hope you enjoyed this post
Happy Shopping

Fit & Fabulous: My fitness routine introduction, rambles and more...

My fitness routine introduction, rambles and more...

Hi guys!

Okay, so today did not go to plan at all. Last night I blogged a few fitness tips on 'Fit & Fabulous: How to bounce back after the silly season...' you can read about it here: http://bellaandvogue.blogspot.ie/2015/01/fit-fabulous-how-to-bounce-back-after.html

At the end of this post I said that I would start a health and fitness diary bringing you through my day to day workouts and exercises, meal plans, recipes, inspiration and motivation. Last night I was all ready to get started. Shortly after I had finished the post I felt oddly tired and went to bed. When I woke up this morning I was full of the flu, it was -3 and snowing. Not the best start to a health and fitness diary. After resting all day and drinking loads of hot drinks I feel a lot better, I spent the day thinking about blog post and I have decided not to do a fitness diary as I think it might bore all of my lovely readers to much, as some of days I might do a few exercises the same. It might be very repetitive. So I have decided to do a general over few of my daily diet and exercise routine. If I learn something new or change my workouts I will fill you in as well as trying to help you guys stay motivated by posting on twitter and instagram. :)

I also forgot to mention my internet connect today was terrible. The only site that would load all day was instagram and even posting a picture on there was hard enough! Anyway tomorrow can only get better... :)

Stay tuned for my new post

Fit & Fabulous: How to bounce back after the silly season...

How to bounce back after the silly season...

Hi Guys!

I hope you all had a good weekend and are feeling motivated for the week ahead. I don't know about all of you but I am finding it very hard to get back on track with my daily routine and fitness regime. Before Christmas I was in such a good routine, going to the Gym 5 days a week and taking the weekend off or going for a quick walk or a light jog. So to get myself back on track and motivated I have been browsing through Pinterest looking at quotes and tips as well as looking through different websites for inspiration. So I am going to share with you some of my favorite tips to get us back on track so we can look 'fine from behind especially on the beach!' Beach body season its fast approaching girls, are you ready?

1. Okay, so number one is a no brainer - increase your water intake. After a couple of weeks or cocktails, travelling, and tons of partying and over indulging your skin will be very dehydrated. Try to drink between 2-3 liters of water a day. This will also help to reduce sugar cravings. If you find it hard to drink water try adding a slice of lemon, lime or cucumber to your water for some natural flavor.

2. Have a green juice for breakfast. Juices and smoothies are filled with fruits and vegetables so you are sure to get your five a day and all the vitamins and minerals needed. When ever I have a green juice for breakfast I feel happy and very clean and healthy you wont want to go and have a coffee and a muffin after one of these.

3. Go raw, try to be as raw and fresh as possible fill your plate with salad and veggies for lunch and dinner as this will give your digestive system a break . This will leave you feeling vibrant and recharged.

4. Do cardio and lift weights - Increase your cardio over the next few weeks this will help you to burn off the extra treats you indulged in over the silly season. Cardio is good for the heart and good for the mind. Lifting weights will not make you bulk up, lifting weights helps to burn fat and make you toned and lean. Why don't you try joining a Gym, if you don't know where to start ask one of the trainers they will be more than happy to help out, if you love swimming join a Gym with a pool. Or if your more into weights and spinning why don't you try classes there are plenty of Gyms around now who run classes throughout the day where you can pay monthly or pay by class if your deciding weather you like it or not. If you don't have the time or the spare cash to join a Gym there are plenty of Youtube tutorials demonstrating workouts or you could buy workout dvds and it mix up and do it in the comfort of you own home. You can also start running and set weekly goals to beat, then you should sign up to do park runs and marathons and it will turn into an addiction and a social event...

5. Go for a light 30 minute walk after dinner, this will help you to recharge and relax. This will also help you to unwind before bed, while enjoying some 'you time'. Make sure to take one night off a week for recovery time, try this maybe on a Sunday so you will be rested for the week ahead...

So guys I hope you found these tips helpful and have given you some motivation. I am very determined to get back on track so from tomorrow on I will be posting my daily workout diary. In this diary I will be sharing all of my exercise tips and tricks, meals and recipes, motivation and inspiration. We can do it girls its all in the mind - mind over matter as they say! :) So stay tuned!

The Fashion Department: What I Wore!

What I Wore: Shopping Trip in Galway!

"Everyday is a fashion show and the world is your runway!" - Coco Chanel

Hi Guys!

Happy Monday! I hope you had a good weekend! I am back again with my very first Fashion Post - "What I Wore!!" I love fashion and am  a self confessed shopaholic, I can't leave without buying something! For example I went to Galway yesterday with my family and my Mum wanted to go to Terryland to go to Dunnes Stores, I swore last time I was in there with her I would never go in again as she too is a shopaholic and wouldn't leave the home decor department. By the time we got to Galway yesterday I wanted to get some fresh air and freshen myself up so I went into the bathroom in Dunnes to fix my make - up. The two of us ended up spending an hour in there and I bought a candle and two pretty notebooks from the Carolyn Donnelly collection! They are gorgeous though!

Now lets get on to what I wore on such a fabulous shopping trip! ;)

I decided to go with this winter monochrome look, I love the black Fedora it is a perfect piece to finish off any out fit and you look so much more stylish when wearing it. I got mine for 8 Eur in Penneys!

This one from River Island is just like it:

You can buy this one using the link below, it is also in a gorgeous beige colour which I think I will buy!

The monochrome cape with the faux fur collar I am wearing is from River Island they have sold out but you can get it in grey check which I think would be perfect with jeans and a pair of boots.

The black leather look pants I am wearing are from New Look you can buy ones like them here >>>http://www.newlook.com/eu/shop/womens/trousers-and-shorts/cameo-rose-black-triple-button-trousers-_332850401

I have worn these boots so much it's crazy they are so comfortable and go with almost everything!

No outfit is complete without a handbag of course, my handbag was from River Island but they have sold out. I love this tote though which you can buy here >>> http://eu.riverisland.com/women/bags--purses/shopper--tote-bags/Black-quilted-structured-tote-bag-660817

So there you have it my very first 'Outfit of the day' post, I really hope you liked it and got some style inspiration, if so let me know.

Fit & Fabulous: The Gymbunnies Fashion Must Haves!

The Gymbunnies Fashion Must Haves!

Hi Gymbunnies,

How is everyone? I hope you all had a fabulous New Years and celebrated in style! Yesterday I posted a list of some of my New Years Resolutions, one of which was to get back on track with my health and fitness routine. I was doing very well up until December and it when down hill from there. But I am now ready to get back on track. So I am starting off this series with my fashion must haves for working out. I love workout clothes and there is so much choice out there now and all very affordable. The is really no excuse not to get fit and healthy.I think you feel confident when you look good and when you've got new clothes to wear it will motivate you to work out even more.

My first choice of workout clothes are these Freddy WR.UP Shaping Effect Low Waist Ankle Length Capri Pants. They also come with this gorgeous blue top. I recently bought the shorter length capri pants with a yellow top and I absolutely love them, they are such good quaility and make your bum look amazing. I bought size small and they fit perfectly and in the waist band it has special material to help keep them up when working out. I will do a full review on these during the week. They cost 59.90EUR and are available online on http://www.freddy.com/cee_en/

I love this sports bra, it is pretty and pink and would look really cute sticking out a little bit under a black or grey workout top. It is on sale to for only 17.50EUR. It is very important to wear a sports that fits you properly not only for comfort but also for support. You can buy it online here http://www.adidas.ie/

I think this Nike tank top is perfect for working out, I have it and its so comfortable. It is fitted but its stretchy and it doesn't slide up when working out which is a big plus. It can be worn on it own or under a running top. You can buy it here http://store.nike.com/ie/en_gb/pd/epic-running-tank-top/pid-10223747/pgid-10295279 for 41 EUR

This hoodie is perfect for wearing over your workout clothes heading to and from the GYM. It is warm and comfy and the color is gorgeous. You can buy it here http://www.lifestylesports.com/en/restofworld/tops/womens-club-full-zip-hoody/invt/61021943 for 40 EUR

As I was browsing through all the sports shops online, I came across these pink and purple Asics Women GT 2000 2 runners, I think there really pretty. I think I just might treat myself to a pair. You can buy them online from Lifestyle Sports for 115.00EUR (All the motivation I need!)

I really hoped you enjoyed!

Happy Shopping!

New Year, New You: My 2015 Goals!

My 2015 New Year Resolutions!

I think there is something so zen about starting a new year. Its a fresh start, a chance to reevaluate your life and what you want to accomplish in the year to come. I know "they say" You don't need a new year to make a change and I totally agree but sometimes it's the motivation you need to make that change...

So here it is My 2015 New Year Goals!

1. I am going to be the happiest and most positive person I have ever been - Happiness is a choice - Positivity is contagious!

2. I am going to stay fit and healthy.

3. I want to run more marathons, I ran a 10k last year, I'm going to do it again this year - faster! I also want to get back into running again.

4. I want to give back as much as I can!

5. I finally set up my blog, I never knew how much I would enjoy it. I am going to dedicate more time to blogging and get organised to post more regularly.

6. I need to become more organised both mentally and physically.

7. I want to spend more time meditating and doing pilates.

8. I want to continue to learn as much as I can.

9. I want to spend more time with family and friends, socializing and doing fun things we love.

10. I want to travel to Paris and see all the amazing sites. I also want to travel as much as I can in the years to come.

New Year, New You Inspiration!

New Year, New You Inspiration!

As I sat down and set my self up to start blogging about my New Years Resolutions I came across Suzanne Jackson's blog - SoSueMe.ie, one of her bloggers Samantha Gibbons had posted a really motivating post about New Years Resolutions, you can read the full post on the SoSueMe.ie website, its called "New Year, New You!"  Reading Samantha's post really struck a cord with me because I really am a dreamer underneath it all.

When I was in my leaving cert and it came time for us all to be filling out our CAO forms, I had no idea what I wanted to do. Everyone else was looking at universities and wanted to be teacher's doctors or nurses but none of these professions interested me. I am a people person and was always interested in Beauty and Fashion, when I met with my career guidance teacher she tried to put be off the idea because she didn't think I would get a secure job - I can be very stubborn at times and when she said this to me it really annoyed me at the time (I was 18 and very immature and held a little grudge with her until I finished school! That grudge has now gone! Haha!) I stuck with my decision and went to college in Limerick, I did a two year course and loved ever minute of it. I am now a fully qualified self-employed Beauty Therapist and Make Up Artist and I know I am secure because I'm doing it for my self and when working for yourself you will work harder then if you are working for someone else.

Anyway the point I want to make is to take chances and don't follow the crowd, do whats right for you, work hard, dream big and don't take no for an answer. Set goals and work your ass off until you achieve everything you want and if your not happy make a change!

2015 I'm ready!

Happy New Year Guys!

Lots of Love
