Beauty Review: Dream Dots for spots!

Dream Dots for spots review!

Hi Beauties!

How is everyone? I hope you are all having a good week! It's nearly the weekend so I decided to do a quick review on Dream Dots for spots. I started using Dream Dots for spots probably nearly a year ago. As soon as they came on the market I wanted to try them We all suffer with that nasty little bugger that wont go away and the first thing that we all think to do is squeeze or pick. Which we all know deep down that it is the worse thing we can do.

What Dream Dots are, are tiny little sticky circular stickers that you place over your spot before going to bed at night. You leave them on all night and then cleanse the area affected with a cotton tip. Ensuring that all infection is removed. Follow this step with cleansing, toning and moisturizing your skin with your regular skincare products. The Dream Dot works over night to purify, protect and calm the spot. It sucks out all infection in the spot and reduces the size and redness. For the spot to completely disappear I would wear a new clean Dream Dot every night for 3/4 nights. Some people do say that they leave the Dream Dot on during the day and apply make up over it, but I really would not recommend this. After the spot is covered all night it needs some time to heal and get back to normal. This will only happen if air is getting to it which it wont if the spot is covered. But I would most definitely recommend them for night time wear. They are perfect for teenage girls or boys or older men and women who suffer with the odd breakout here and there.

Dream Dots for spots can be bought online here and selected pharmacies nationwide.

Beauty Review - Rimmel London Lasting Finish with Comfort Serum Review!

Rimmel London Lasting Finish with Comfort Serum Review!

Hi Everyone!

I hope you are all having a good week. For about a month now I have been trying out Rimmel London Lasting Finish foundation with comfort serum and I really like it. It is a full coverage foundation which really does cover all blemishes as you can see in the picture below, I have a breakout on my chin and you really wouldn't notice unless you zoomed right in. It is a long lasting foundation and states on the bottle that it last 25 hours. I haven't left it on that long to see but it certainly lasts all day with no need to top up during the day. I am a beauty therapist and at work I would be on the go all day with no time to touch up my make-up so this foundation is perfect for the working girl and busy Mums on the go. The shade I like to use is number 201 classic beige which is perfect is you have sallow skin or are wearing fake tan. This foundation is perfect for people with dry skin as is does not make the skin even dryer and has a lovely dewy finish which I love. It comes with a pump lid and in a  glass bottle. I love that it comes with a pump lid because it doesn't cause you to use to much. I use about one pump, which covers my entire face and doesn't make me look like I'm caked in make up. It has SPF25 which is another reason why I really love it and it doesn't leave a hint of white like some foundations do which contain SPF.This foundation can be bought online in Boots here and pharmacies nation wide.

I really hope you enjoyed this post and if you have tried this foundation or buy it after reading my review I would love to know your thoughts!

Bella and Vogue goes to London! Big Ben, Buckingham Palace and more...

London Diary: Day 3

As Wednesday was our last day of our trip to London we wanted to fit in a much site seeing as we could. We woke up early and had breakfast in the hotel. We then got the tube out to see Big Ben. It felt very surreal to me as silly as that sounds. It was a dream come true to go to London as I've said before it has always been a goal of mine to go to London and now I have no idea what was stopping me. I just think the entire city is beautiful. The work the architectures but into each building is out of this world and the city is so well looked after.

Early mornings, massive stores, pretty buildings, fashion to die for, street style, dining out every night, dancing to Mama Mia, dashing in and out of tubes and taxis, sight seeing, Big Ben, Buckingham Palace... London you have exhausted me but I am deeply in love with you!

Anyone who knows me knows that I am a total home bird but I enjoyed my time in London so much that I would move there in the morning if the opportunity arose. I loved the fast pace of life, the business and of course the fashion. All my life I have loved fashion but now after spending the few days that I did in London I know for sure that I would love to branch out of my comfort zone and work within the fashion industry! In saying that I am in no way naive I know that that is not what the city is all about and that living there would be completely different than a holiday but I genuinely would love to live there. It would be a dream come true! I am already planning my next trip and London Fashion might just be added to my list of goals for 2015...

You never know just what the future will bring! ;)

I really hope you enjoyed this post and picked up a few tips and tricks about traveling to London if so I would love to know!

Lots of Love

Bella & Vogue Take Oxford Street!

London Diary: Day 2

I woke up early to get ready for a fun filled day of shopping. Today we were spending the day on Oxford street and central London. We all wanted to go to Primark first so we could avoid the crowds. We left the hotel just after 8am and got a juice along the way. When we arrived at Primark it was very quite so we could get a proper look around. By 10:30am it started to get busy so we decided to move on to see what other shops Oxford street had to offer us.

We then carried on exploring Oxford street. We went to Forever 21, I love the accessories there, they have so much to choose from and all the jewelry is so cute and dainty.

Accessory department in Forever 21, I love the decor!

We then moved on to New Look, which I loved they have such a good S/S15 collection with loads of pretty pastels you are just spoiled for choice even since I've come back from London I've felt the need to pop in and out to see all the new stock. Like have you seen their new bags? I posted my Chloe inspired one on my instagram at the weekend. I think its to die for. You can follow me on Instagram here Topshop was one of my favourite shops on the whole of Oxford street. It is massive not like anyone I've ever seen before. It is fabulous, walking through the door there's a DJ bopping away with really good music. There's maps telling you what floor everything is on. It's so big and so spacious you can see everything at a glance. I wanted basically everything in the entire shop. We then went to River Island and of course I bought Molly jeans, who else loves them they are the comfiest jeans I have ever worn. I think I nearly have them in every colour now!

I nearly died when I saw this, I would love to be a personal stylist, maybe I could branch out and combine my love of beauty and fashion sometime soon!

The last shop we visited was none other than Victoria's Secret, we all loved this shop and spent hours in there. Everything in there is just gorgeous and so pretty, I even took photos because I loved the decor so much!

After we finished shopping we went back to our hotel to get all glamed up for dinner, we decided to go to an Italian restaurant called Bella Italia in the West End because after we were going to see 'Mama Mia!' The restaurant was gorgeous, very sophisticated looking. It was completely backed and I can completely see why, the staff are so friendly and the food was delicious, next time i'm in London I will definitely go back there but I would make sure that I had plenty of time to spare as when we went we were in a rush to go to the musical and due to the amount of people dinning it took a long time for the staff to get around to everyone but it was well worth the wait! After our meal we went to the Novello Theatre to see 'Mamma Mia!' The show was brilliant and so funny, I really enjoyed it! After the show we went back to the Italian restaurant for  a drink before heading back to our hotel as we had planned to get up early to go sight seeing the next morning...

Bella and Vogue goes to London! Oyster Cards, Greeters, Starbucks and Fun!

London Diary: Day 1

Hey Guys!

I am so excited to finally share with everyone all about my recent trip to London!!

How it all happened...

So as mentioned in one of my recent travel posts which you can read about Here . One of my friends wrote to me on Facebook asking if I would like to go to London for a few days during the Easter break. Of course I said Yes and accepted her offer straight away. London is such a glamorous city and everyone is so fashionable, I was dying to go! So that night we started to look up flights and hotels. We decided to fly with  Ryanair. I think our entire flights came to around 70Eur each, for return flights which was really good for the time of year it was. We booked our hotel on booking.com.The hotel was called The Norfolk Plaza Hotel. It is located on Norfolk Square in Paddington. It is such a pretty street and the architecture on all the buildings are so beautiful. here's a photo of the street.

Isn't is pretty! You can see the entrance to the hotel on the left of the photo!

We got a triple room and stayed there for two nights. I think it cost 220 Eur.  We checked into the hotel and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. The hotel is very quint and the hall ways are very narrow but it is clean, in a safe area and perfect location for the tube. Our room was very big and spacious. It was a basic standard room but do you no what that's all we needed, it was clean and cleaned and restocked with towels etc everyday.

Bella and Vogue secret!
Don't spend a lot of money on hotels, you wont be spending to much time there anyway. You will be out shopping and site seeing!

We dropped our suitcases of at the hotel and headed to the tube station which is a two minute walk from the hotel, we bought our tube ticket which is called an oyster card for 3 days. They cost 25 pounds I think but you can use them as often as you want for the 3 days!*  You can buy your oyster card online Here

Bella and Vogue secret!
* When using your oyster card make sure to swipe you card both on the way in and out of the tube stations even if the barriers are open. We didn't swipe our cards when the barriers were open and we got charged extra and had to top up our cards but when giving back your cards the day you are finished with them you get 5 pounds back for bringing back your card and the extra money you had to top up by back! Weird system I know!

Next stop Westfield shopping center!!

Westfield London

Westfield London really is the ultimate shopping experience. It is the biggest shopping center I have ever seen. As soon as we arrived outside we just couldn't believe the size and all we wanted to do was shop. Walking in the door we saw about 10 different shops each that we wanted to check out. We split up so that we wouldn't waste time going around all shops as we only had a few hours and we knew that this trip we wouldn't be able to make it back. We're going to have to go back to London again! My favourite shops were River Island, Topshop, Newlook, Oasis had some nice things too but I was hoping to check out the Molly King collection Loved by Molly but they didn't have it, Victoria Secrets and Zara! So many shops you really are spoiled for choice. After shopping for a while we stopped in Nandos for dinner since we hadn't eaten since we were in the airport in Ireland that morning. Later that evening we had a cheeky treat in Starbucks as a quick pick me before we started shopping again.

View from Nandos restaurant!

We shopped for a good hour or two after our Starbucks break and then we headed back to our hotel, we were absolutely exhausted as we had been up from 6am that morning and this was like 8pm when we left Westfield so we really did make the most of our first day in London. Although it was very overwhelming getting used to the crowds of people, the business of the tubes and the huge shopping center I adored every second of it and would give anything to be back in London!

Cocoa Brown By Marissa Carter Lovely Legs Spray & Cocoa Brown 1 Hour Tan Dark Shade Mouse Review!

Cocoa Brown Lovely Legs Spray & 1 Hour Tan Mouse Dark Shade Review!

Hi Beauties!

I hope you all had a good #TanningThursday and are enjoying the sunshine. I would first like to begin this post by congratulating Marissa Carter the founder of Cocoa Brown on the birth of her baby girl Isabelle, who arrived on Easter Sunday morning. She is gorgeous! Marissa began her career in the beauty industry working as a beauty therapist in a salon and then went on to open her own beauty room in the house she was renting at the very young age of 21, there was no stopping her here through as she then progressed on to opening up her own salon known as Carter Beauty.

It wasn't long after Marissa had given birth to her first child a baby boy, that she came up with the idea of creating her own brand of tan. One night she was asleep cuddling her baby when she woke up and realized that her spray tan had rubbed off onto the side of his face and hand. This is when the idea of creating a tan that you can wash off the day applied was born. Ever since Cocoa Brown has been created it has been rocking the market. The infamous tan has won many awards including RSVP Awards, Image Beauty Awards, U Magazine Beauty Awards, Best in Beaut.ie Awards, to name but a few. Ever since Marissa has branched out with her tan selling in Ireland, UK and USA. Marissa also attended the Oscars last year where Cocoa Brown was used on all nominees.

Cocoa Brown 1 Hour Tan Mouse

Cocoa Brown 1 Hour Tan Mouse Dark Shade is  my favorite Cocoa Brown product it is so easy to apply, all you have to do is shake the bottle and squirt the mouse out onto a clean tanning mitt. Close the mitt in your hand and apply directly to the body  starting at your feet and working your way up. The tan applies flawlessly and turnes out to be a gorgeous light brown color. The tan is very natural looking if applied properly! To find out about my tip tanning tips use the link as follows http://bellaandvogue.blogspot.ie/2015/03/tanningthursday-my-top-tanning-tips-for.html In the above photo I am wearing Cocoa Brown 1 Hour Tan Mouse in the Dark Shade and I left it on for 4/5 hours and then washed it off. The above photo is the morning after I washed it off!

 Lovely Legs Spray

In the above photo I am wearing  Cocoa Brown 1 Hour Tan Mouse in the Dark Shade with Lovely Legs Spray over the top for a deeper color. I have tried both products on there own and I love them both but I think when Lovely Legs is worn over the 1 Hour Tan Mouse you get such a flawless finish and your legs look perfect. Lovely legs is an instant tan that can be applied with a tanning mitt and can be washed off in the shower.

So girls there you have it my Cocoa Brown 1 Hour Tan Mouse Dark Shade and Lovely Legs Spray review, have you tried any of these tans? I really like them and am delighted with the results. I know the Dark Shade might not suit everyone but my sister prefers the lighten shade in the 1 Hour tan Mouse. If you apply on coat of the 1 Hour Tan Mouse light shade with a mitt, wait 5 minutes for the tan to dry tan apply a second coat and  leave it on for 3 hours  and then wash is off you get a gorgeous natural bronze glow.

All Cocoa Brown products can be bought in Penney's/ Primark, Boots, Tesco and online at Cloud10 Beauty!

I really hope you enjoyed this post and if you have any questions about tanning, Cocoa Brown products or you just want to say Hi, I will be more than happy to hear from you!

Happy Tanning!

Much Love

London Edition: What I packed in my travel beauty bag!

What I packed in my travel beauty bag!

Hi Guys!

So yesterday I posted about what I packed in my carry-on bag for my recent trip to London so today I'm posting about what I brought in my travel beauty bag. I know only to well how hard it is to travel light and still try to look nice. I am, well I used to be a disaster when it came to packing beauty products I would always pack way to much even though it would be under the 100mls security used to ask me how many people were travelling with me and was some of my make-up their's of course I would tell them it was! ;) So over the past few years of travelling I have really learnt how to really cut my beauty and makeup products down.

Okay, so the very first thing I always pack in my beauty bag has to be my cleanser, toner and moisturizer - Liz Earle of course! I have very sensitive skin so if I left make-up on over night I would be covered in eczema the next day, so skincare is a must for me. I was sent the travel size cleanse and polish as a free gift from my last Liz Earle order and I bought travel size containers in Penneys so that I could pour the larger size products into them so that they would be travel friendly. The set of travel size containers were only 1.50EUR and you got a little clear bag with them in which you could also use for travelling. I also brought a packet of cotton wool and two muslin face cloths.

What make-up did I bring?

1. Rimmel Lasting Finish foundation
2. Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer
3. Sleek MakeUp Brow Kit
4. Sleek MakeUp Face Form Contouring and Blush Palette
5. L'Oreal Paris False Lash Telescopic Mascara
6. Seventeen Instant Glow Medium Bronze Bronzing powder
7. L'Oreal Paris Colour Riche LeKohl eyeliner pencil
8. NYX Lipstick in shade Stawberry Milk
9. NYX Lipstick in shade Chic Red
10. NYX Butter Gloss in shade Creme Brulee

I didn't bring any eye shadow with me as most of my eye shadow palettes are big and bulky and then I would have to bring more makeup brushes with me. My Victoria Secrets makeup bag pictured above is full of makeup brushes! I think bringing a few different colored lipsticks instead of eye shadow palettes will make you look like you've put a lot of work into your look but you will half the time and the space in you carry-on bag!

So that is everything I packed in my travel beauty/makeup bag I hope this post is as helpful as my last post. Here is a link to my last post http://bellaandvogue.blogspot.ie/2015/04/london-edition-what-i-packed-in-my.html I know a few girls have contacted me telling me that they found this post helpful for not only going on holidays but also for a night away, its always good to down size, so I hope this post helps you too and you enjoyed the read!

Thank you so much again for all of your support it really means a lot to me so Thank you!

Lots of Love
